Jorma's experience in tourism comes from 40 years in the business. He has worked in several Lappish skiing centers e.g. in Saariselkä, Luosto and Tahkovuori as anything between the bartender and hotel director.

In Hotelli Kolari Jorma tends to hotel directors duties but is also often seen behind the bar or even clearing the yard from snow.

Kari Mattila, Kitchen Chef

Originally from Middle-of-Finland Kari has earned his dues at sea: tables are set with mouth watering buffets as well as festive á la Carte-meals with 30 years of experience. True to his profession Kari makes sure no-one leaves Hotelli Kolari with an empty stomach.

In addition to the kitchen you can find Kari from behind the coffee-shop counter or tending to little renovations around the hotel.

Marja-Liisa Haapasaari, Head Waitress

Always sunny and smiling Marja-Liisa is the resident Laplander at Hotelli Kolari. Born and bread in Kolari Marja-Liisa has built her professional skills in different hotels and restaurants around Ylläs area during nearly 30 years. If you need to find anything at the area, Marja-Liisa is the one to ask for directions.

Marja-Liisa tends to the needs of both our restaurant customers and sleepover guests.
